It was New Year's Eve, 2021. Maggi was headlining a comedy show at a friend's house. New to town, and wanting to impress, she wore a long sleeved, silver velvet dress and sat next to another old friend from college who accompanied her to the show. Tony sat on the other side, also dressed to impress, wearing a red camo jacket hanging out with one of his friends. Tony kept peering over to make eye contact with Maggi.

Little did he know, that a few weeks later, Maggi would show up at his house with the host of the comedy show (because they had to talk business). In a last ditch effort to keep Maggi around that evening, Tony pulled out his flute (the musical instrument) and began playing in all his Anchorman glory.

Eventually, they exchanged numbers to play music together and would up going on their real first date to Mozart's Coffee shop on Lake Austin (when their 5k plans got snowed out) in February 2021.
